VÍCEHLAS is not a choir, but an OPEN GROUP for singing in a polyphony with a focus on folk music, a cappella singing and improvisation. It is located in Plzeň.
Anyone who has the desire and need to sing is welcome. The purpose of these meetings is to experience and enjoy the joy of bringing together the voices while discovering and developing your creative potential.

During "Circle songs and improvisations" you will enjoy a rich program including:

• movement games
• rhythmic exercises and body percussion
• work with voice
• folk songs in unison and polyphony
• looping without loop
• sound "soup"

• discussion

Each participant should manage to maintain the melody and rhythm.

The improvisation session helds place usually at the end of the meeting - about the last half hour.
The timing can be seen as the icing on the cake or the opportunity to leave at the right time.

Solo improvisation is voluntary, no one has to do anything that he would not feel comfortable with.

If you have a musical idea, we can develop it together! You can take advantage of the presence of a group of tuned singers and try to build your own circle song.

We usually take a few pictures and videos at the voice workshops that I organize. If you submit your registration form, I understand that you acknowledge this and also agree to the possible publication of the materials on the www, YouTube channel and FB page of VÍCEHLAS. The purpose of making and publishing recordings from VÍCEHLAS is to connect people from a variety of backgrounds and spread the idea of singing together and making music just for pleasure - without the necessity of musical experience and education, without evaluation or pressure on performance. For those who hesitate to come to join the singing circle, the recordings offer the opportunity to get an idea what the VÍCEHLAS is about. At the same time, anybody can at any time in the future sing songs with the recordings and recall nice moments spent together singing and being a part of it.
